Prepare for the first conversation without sharing access credentials

What should you prepare for an application performance audit?

Mark what you already have, what you can prepare and what still needs to be agreed. You will receive a concise list for the first conversation about a slow application or database.

You do not need to diagnose the problem first

You do not need a complete diagnosis or a folder of technical reports before the first conversation. It is enough to identify the action that feels too slow, when it happens and how it affects employees or customers.

The checklist separates information you already have from items you can prepare and points that need to be agreed together. This keeps the conversation focused on a specific case instead of guesses about the server, database or code.

What the checklist covers

  • Symptom and business impact: the slow action, when the delay occurs, its effect on work and what an improvement would look like.
  • Reproduction and baseline: steps that reproduce the problem, a comparable measurement, a faster comparison case and recent changes.
  • System context: the affected environment, technologies, approximate scale, integrations and background jobs.
  • Evidence and safe working conditions: available monitoring, a test environment, access boundaries and the person who can confirm the scenario.

What you receive

The result groups materials that are ready to describe, can be prepared, need agreement or are not relevant. You can copy the summary, download it as Markdown or print it to PDF.

The result is not an audit, estimate or technical assessment. It only shows how well the information needed for the first conversation has been organised.

Do not send secrets or customer data

Do not paste passwords, tokens, API keys, database copies, customer data or full confidential logs into the contact form. If such materials are required after the scope has been agreed, we will arrange a suitable transfer method separately.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need every item before the first conversation?

No. Missing information is normal. The checklist shows what can be prepared in advance and what should wait until safe working conditions have been agreed.

Is a Lighthouse or PageSpeed Insights result enough?

It may be useful for a public page, but it cannot explain a slow report, data save, import, queue or authenticated application area by itself.

Can I send logs or a database copy immediately?

Not through the ordinary contact form. For the first message, it is enough to say that such materials exist.

Can I use the list with another provider?

Yes. The checklist organises general information and does not bind you to Domin Software.

What should you prepare for an application performance audit?

Choose the answer that best describes your current situation for each item. You do not need every material before the first conversation.

Symptom and business impact

1. I can identify the specific action, screen or process that is too slow.
2. I know when the problem occurs and whether it happens every time or only under certain conditions.
3. I can describe how the problem affects employees, customers, sales or order handling.
4. I know how the business will recognise an improvement without imposing an arbitrary technical target.
